Attorneys
Joseph E. Doussard received his B.A. from St. Anselm
College and his LL.B. from the University of Colorado. During his career at the American
National Bank of Denver (now Wells Fargo), Mr. Doussard was a vice president of the bank,
in charge of trust and estate administration.
Mr. Doussard has been listed in The
Best Lawyers in America since 1991. Mr.
Doussard is a Fellow of The American College of Trust and
Estate Counsel and is currently serving on the college's Estate and Gift tax
committee. The College appointed Mr. Doussard Colorado State Chair for
a five year term beginning 2001. He is a past president of the Denver Estate Planning Council. His articles have
appeared in The Colorado Lawyer, ACTEC Notes, and in the national magazines Estate
Planning, and Taxes The Tax Magazine. Mr. Doussard has also lectured at
legal seminars.
Mr. Doussard's practice includes wills, trusts, estates, probate
and estate administration and business planning.
David A. Turner's practice emphasizes trust, estate and probate administration,
including conservatorships and guardianships. Mr. Turner welcomes
adversarial matters in those areas as well as contested matters involving real
property, partnerships and other closely-held business entities. His trial
practice has taken him before the Denver Probate Court, District Courts
throughout the State of Colorado, the U.S. Tax Court as well as courts located in other states.
Mr. Turner is a member of the Denver, Colorado, and Wyoming Bar Associations,
the Denver Estate Planning Council and the Centennial Estate Planning
Council. He is the author of the "Testamentary Trusts" chapter
of the Colorado Estate Planning Handbook (The "Orange Book").
Richard A. Bowers
received his undergraduate degree from the
University of Colorado and his law degree and Masters degree in tax from the
University of Denver. He is licensed to practice in both Colorado and
Washington, D.C. and before the U.S. Tax Court, U.S. Court of Federal Claims,
Federal District Court of Colorado, United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth
Circuit and the United States Supreme Court.
Mr. Bowers is a member of the First
Judicial District, Colorado Bar and District of Columbia Bar Associations.
He is a member of the Centennial Estate Planning Council, the Denver Estate
Planning Council and serves on the Board of Trustees for the Lakewood Legacy
Foundation. His articles on Estate Planning and Federal Gift, Estate and
Generation Skipping Transfer taxes have appeared in The Colorado Lawyer
and ACTEC Notes. He has lectured on estate planning, probate and Federal
Gift, Estate and Generation Skipping Transfer taxes.
Mr. Bowers practices in the area of wills,
trusts, probate, guardianships/ conservatorships, medicaid planning, asset
protection and business planning.
